System Wide Out of School Suspensions

Looking at the number of students system-wide who were suspended out-of-school over the past three academic school years, we see that a larger percentile of students were suspended from middle through high schools. In the 2007-2008 academic school year, 39.1% of the high school students system-wide were suspended, and 28.4% of the middle school students were suspended. Overall suspension percentages have decreased from 2007-2008, with both the lowest number (5,898) and percent (15.6%) of student suspensions being observed for the 2008-2009 school year.
