UPDATE!  Savannah was not selected as a Promise Neighborhood grantee for 2012; however, we will launch the Savannah Promise Neighborhood in January using the local partners and their commitments toward this initiative.  You will be hearing from us!

Teen Maze-2012 was an event held March 26-29  in which groups of 8^th grade students attended. The purpose of the event was to teach students to make wise decisions and not the wrong ones, it also showed what real life predicaments are like.

In partnership with the United Way of the Coastal Empire, the City of Savannah has supported our application for the All-America City Grade Level Reading Award. Our local GLR campaign consists of the public school system, and various partners at the community level.  The goal is to have children properly prepared to enter school, and to have students reading at the age appropriate level by 3rd grade.
